It has 5600 ft of climbing - but is one of the most scenic routes for a ride in all of Oklahoma City. See you Friday!
Through your generosity together we helped provide a Turkey for Thanksgiving in over thirty homes in need. Thank you so much - and thanks to Brad and Kim for their ongoing work through The Spero Project.
We are still collecting donations on the day of the ride and are already able to feed, in addition to these turkeys, over 100 families for a week! See you Friday!
The Turkey 200 isn’t an event, it is a group ride. You do the ride by showing up to ride the 124 miles! We do suggest that if you are doing the ride you consider giving $15 to help feed a family for a week. Since this is a group ride it is self supported, meaning you need to take into account having your repair kit ready in your saddlebag and have your own nutrition prepared.
We will be stopping approximately 4 times at places where you can refuel, eat, and get ready for the next section.
The Turkey 200 is an effort by local Oklahoma City cyclists and Spero: Resources to help feed families this Thanksgiving. This group of riders, with many of the local racing and club teams represented, will ride 200 kilometers (124 miles) November 25th. All $15 donations will feed a family in need for a week. Please consider joining us this Thanksgiving, as we have much to be thankful for, to give to others in need.
Ride starts from the Route 66 Park west of Lake Overholser at 8:00am on November 25th.
